Spahn & Rose Lumber Co., has been named Dealer of the Year by the Iowa Lumber Association.

The Iowa Dealer of the Year is nominated by members of the association, who honor the company they deem to have been especially ethical, respected, and committed to the lumber industry and the communities it serves over the previous year.

“We are tremendously proud of this honor,” said Spahn & Rose CEO Dave Davis. “This is an award from our colleagues, people in the lumber business with decades of experience whom we know and respect. It’s truly humbling to be honored by your peers.”

The Iowa Lumber Association operates under the umbrella of the Northwestern Lumber Association, a trade organization headquartered in Minneapolis that advances the lumber and building-material industry by strengthening its more than 700 members—which include retail and lumber building-material dealers, manufacturers, suppliers, and vendors—through education, networking, advocacy, and resources.

For more than 119 years, Spahn & Rose has provided high-quality building materials to communities in Iowa and beyond.

“This award also shows how well we serve our contractor and builder customers,” said Brent Schneider, Spahn & Rose Vice President of Operations. “We believe it’s a true partnership with our customers that makes our business better and earns us recognition such as Iowa Dealer of the Year.”

Based in Dubuque, Iowa, Spahn & Rose opened in 1904 and operates 24 locations in Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Georgia. The dealer serves builders, contractors, and homeowners.
