Return of The Golden Hammer Awards

The effort to identify the best new hardware and home improvement projects continues, as HBSDealer is seeking entries for its Golden Hammer awards, recognizing the best new products in the home improvement industry.

The contest draws on the rich history of the Golden Hammer Awards, the iconic industry-wide designation for the best-of-the-best of home improvement.

“In recent years, the Golden Hammer Awards have shown that innovation and improvement take many forms in our industry,” said Ken Clark, editor in chief of HBS Dealer. “There are extremely creative and knowledgeable people in our business who are working hard to develop new-and-improved or out-of-the-box products to help Pros and DIYers gain an edge. And we know there’s value in showcasing these products.”

The year’s best new products will be judged by HBSDealer’s editorial staff based on the following criteria:

• Innovation –features, technology, differentiation and benefits;
• Value — Including relative price, consumer relevance, and functional practicality; and
• Shelf appeal — Clarity of message, and overall desirability of the product within its category.

The nomination deadline has been set at Sept. 29, 2022. Winners will be highlighted in the print and digital pages of HBSDealer, as well as a event in Las Vegas during The Big Show (IBS, KBIS and NHS, details coming soon).

A nominal entry fee is required. Also, nominations must be accompanied by a photograph and description supplied by the applicant.
