The Quikrete Industry Dashboard shows stock market success, and a lower unemployment rate -- down from 4.8% too 4.6%.
The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics released its Employment Situation Report Friday morning with news of 531,000 new jobs in October.
Construction employment rose by 44,000 in October, following an increase of 30,000 in September. In October, employment increased in nonresidential specialty trade contractors (+19,000) and in heavy and civil engineering construction (+12,000). Still, construction employment is 150,000 below its February 2020 level.
Elsewhere on Dashboard, the gas price dial failed to rise for the first time in months, holding steady at $3.42 for a gallon of regular, according to the American Automobile Association. One year ago, the average was $2.17.
