Quikrete Industry Dashboard

The latest version of the Quikrete Industry Dashboard features robust gains in monthly retail sales, total starts, single-family starts and existing home sales.

Starting at the top, total starts crossed the 1.5 million mark for the first time since February. The latest seasonally adjusted annual rate of 1.53 million is 4.9% above September, and up 14% compared to the same month a year ago.

Sales at building material and garden equipment and supplies dealers – NAICS 444 – showed a strong year-over-year surge in October – up 27.5% from the same month last year.

And existing home sales were up 26.6% on a year-over-year basis.

Next up: The Conference Board will release its closely watched Consumer Confidence Index for November on Tuesday.
