DeWalt hammers down
New lineup of DeWalt hammers offer “More Swing, Less Sting.”
DeWalt is expanding its lineup of hammers with 14 new tools, including the XP Extended Performance series.
The XP Performance Series offers durability along with “More Swing, Less Sting” vibration dampening technology, according to DeWalt. Easy-to-grip handles and side nail pullers are also part of the package.
With the innovative new grip vibration dampening technology, each new XP hammer reduces the sting by 35% while improving grip durability by 25%, DeWalt says.
Lowering vibration and increasing grip durability helps to reduce arm fatigue and helps the hammers stand up to rigorous use, making them the optimal solution for professional users. Additionally, the handle material offers moisture resistance to help prevent slippage and promote safety on the jobsite. The hammers also include a Tri-Pull feature for removing framing nails, finish nails, and staples.
A total of six tools are part of the Extended Performance XP Hammers. In addition to the 16oz. and 20oz. General Purpose Hammers and the 22oz. Framing Hammer, the XP line also includes the 18oz. Wood Framing Hammer that features carbon fiber composite overstrike protection for 25% added durability to help prevent handle breakage.
The current 12oz. and 14oz. MIG Weld Hammers will also be updated with the new XP™ grip technology and are “coming soon,” DeWalt announced.
DeWalt will also be adding to its offering with a new, eight-tool range of claw, framing, and specialty hammers and a hatchet. The hammers focus on optimized balance, durability and functionality. Available this fall where DeWalt products are sold, each hammer will come standard with a lifetime limited warranty from DeWalt.
