CAMO Drive offers speed for deck builders

New tool addresses challenges faced by deck builders.
National Nail’s CAMO brand has introduced a new tool designed for speed and ease of use.

The new CAMO Drive tool was created to address challenges facing professional deck builders, including the absence of fastener versatility and the affordability and lack of flexibility in the deck fastening tools in use today.

Installing decking at speeds up to 5-times faster than current methods, the CAMO Drive tool allows the user to attach their own drill in a standing position. They can then use any of three CAMO Drive attachments to secure decking with CAMO EdgeClips (for grooved boards), CAMO Edge screws or traditional face screws.

“Professional deck builders have been approaching us to provide them a tool and fastening system that saves them time, is easy to understand and do, can be used on all types of decking and reduces their unwanted investment in tools. Oh, they also wanted to use their own drill and be off their knees,” says W. Scott Baker, president and CEO.

For grooved decking, the CAMO Drive tool can be used with the new CAMO EdgeClip. For use with any grooved wood, capstock or PVC board, users can insert the clip into the deck board groove, slide the next board or boards on and then fasten the clip in one easy motion, with the CAMO Drive tool.

For edge and face fastening, load either the CAMO collated edge or face screws into the CAMO Drive tool and drive the screws into pressure treated or hardwoods, square edge capstock or PVC deck boards.
