ProDealer Industry Summit goes virtual

7/6/2020
The 2020 PDIS will be virtual in nature.

The 2020 ProDealer Summit is going virtual, with a three-day digital event designed to advance the interests of the LBM industry through education and networking.

Concerns over the coronavirus outbreak led to the decision to alter the event from face-to-face to virtual, originally slated for San Antonio, Texas, Oct. 7-9.

The NLBMDA CEO Jonathan Paine released the following statement:

On behalf of the National Lumber & Building Material Dealers Association (NLBMDA) Board of Directors and our conference media partner HBSDealer, I want to express that the health and safety of our conference attendees is and always will be our first priority.

The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to affect people throughout the world, and the situation remains fluid, with information changing daily.

After careful consideration, dialogue with key stakeholders and legal counsel, as well as considerable evaluation of the evolving concerns surrounding COVID-19, the NLBMDA Board of Directors has decided to cancel the traditional in person ProDealer Industry Summit, scheduled to take place October 7-9 in San Antonio and transition to a virtual experience over the same dates.

NLBMDA has been intently monitoring recent developments regarding COVID-19, specifically in the state of Texas and determined that the only path forward was to cancel the in person event and transition to a virtual experience.

NLBMDA will be sharing more information regarding the new ProDealer Industry Summit virtual experience in the coming weeks and ask that you still save the dates of October 7-9 to join us.

We encourage anyone who has booked a room at the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter to contact the hotel to cancel your reservation.
