To what extent are wage increases eating into the bottom line.
Riding on the coattails of inflation are rising wages.
Wages and salaries, as measured by the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ Employment Cost Index, gained 1.4% in the second quarter and 5.3% over the year ending in June.
And they’re both growing faster than they did in the first quarter.
