Wehrung’s Family of Businesses will expand its service area deeper into the Delaware Valley with an in-person Fall Festival to celebrate the acquisition of the former Collegeville Do it Best Center in May, 2020.

The Collegeville location purchase allows third generation Wehrung’s owner Jason Wehrung to bring the firm’s line of related construction industry businesses, including specialty lumber, materials and precast construction supplies to a broader, regional tri-county audience.

It’s the second family business acquisition in the past two years.

In March, Wehrung’s announced it had purchased Dries Do it Center in Macungie, another long-time family-owned and operated business in the Lehigh Valley. The Macungie acquisition was completed in January, 2021.

“Family drives the growth of our business and family-owned businesses are a staple in the community,” said Jay Valentin, assistant vice president of retail at Wehrung’s.

Wehrung’s Fall Festival will be held at Wehrung’s Collegeville from 11 am to 4 pm on October 16. Proceeds from the day’s sales will benefit Sebastian Riding Associates, a. non-profit equestrian children’s therapy organization.
