NPD Stat of the Week: Pacific gains

STAT: The Pacific region grew the fastest in total lawn and garden— up 37.5%—in the past year. The region also saw the biggest volume increase over last year (+635MM).

Analysis: “Changes in weather, vaccine policy, and other commerce variables in each region of the country resulted in different needs and timing to solve for. Quarantine regulations, movement to the region, and a general love of the outdoors made the West a natural place for lawn and garden sales to thrive this past year,” said Joe Derochowski, Home Industry Advisor, The NPD Group.
