LP WeatherLogic Seam & Flashing Sealant joins the building system.
WeatherLoogic Seam & Flashing Sealant
LP Building Solutions launched WeatherLogic Seam & Flashing Sealant. This latest offering from LP is a solution designed for easy and effective sheathing adhesion with premium moisture management technology, the company said.
Currently available for purchase across the U.S., LP WeatherLogic Seam & Flashing Sealant is a liquid-applied flashing material certified to AAMA 714-19 and is the only liquid-applied sealant approved to seal the panel joints (seams) between LP WeatherLogic panels as part of the LP WeatherLogic system. The sealant can also be used to flash window and door openings, material transitions, and penetrations of any shape.
LP WeatherLogic Seam & Flashing Sealant boasts quick tooling and cure time to better service the fast-paced environment of a construction site. The sealant has a 10–15-minute tooling time, 110-minute surface tack time and, depending on conditions, will fully cure in 24 hours. Other benefits include being VOC compliant and having joint movement of ±50% for added flexibility.
“In the development of this system LP has considered basic aspects such as easy installation, but also how we can save builders valuable resources like time and labor,” said LP Product Manager, Growth and Innovation Chris Dall. “LP has taken sheathing as we know it as a standalone product and transformed it into a building system that gives builders a more premium, sustainable, durable and weather-resistant build.”
The sealant joins LP WeatherLogic Air & Water Barrier and LP WeatherLogic Seam & Flashing Tape in the LP WeatherLogic portfolio. With an integrated, water-resistive overlay the panels provide permeability, allowing moisture to escape, and the tape and sealant creates a tight seal between panels, helping to achieve proper window flashing techniques.
