BlueLinx names new Minnesota GM

BlueLinx announced that Dave Zelch has been hired as general manager for the building products distributor’s Minneapolis and Duluth, Minn. branches.

Zelch joins BlueLinx after spending 12 years with Sherwin-Williams in a variety of sales and marketing roles of increasing responsibility.  Most recently he served as the global vice president overseeing marketing and business development efforts for the OEM division of the industrial coatings business. 

Prior to Sherwin-Williams, Zelch spent 20 years with PPG Industries, another global supplier of coatings and specialty chemical products. 

“Dave has had an array of career experiences that include manufacturing, customer service management, warehouse management, sales, sales management, and marketing management,” said Mark Wasson, regional vice president of BlueLinx. “He is passionate about growing revenue, relentless in his customer focus, and continually looking to improve the effectiveness of the commercial enterprise.  We look forward to him bringing that same passion and focus to the Minneapolis and Duluth branches.”

Based in Marietta, Ga., BlueLinx distributes products to over 15,000 national, regional, and local dealers, specialty distributors, national home centers, and manufactured housing customers.
