YBC acquires Berlin Lumber Company
Your Building Centers (YBC) has acquired Berlin Lumber Company in Berlin, Pa.
Berlin Lumber is a lumber, truss, and building supplies provider that has been serving builders and homeowners for more than 68 years.
YBC purchased the company from Doug Brant, owner and president of Berlin Lumber. While terms of the deal were not disclosed, YBC said that it intends to continue to operate the newly-added company under the name of Berlin Lumber.
This acquisition marks the third in 3 years for YBC, which is an employee-owned company. In a statement issued by YBC, the dealer said this moves allows “more Pennsylvania residents to benefit from being an Employee Owner and allowing YBC to grow in the Pennsylvania market.”
Based in Altoona, Pa., YBC operates 16 locations throughout Pennsylvania, including design centers. It serves contractors, builders, remodelers and DIYers.
