Updated NLBMDA state-by-state COVID-19 activity
Here is the latest state activity, in reaction to COVID-19, from the National Lumber and Building Material Dealers Association (NLBMDA):
Alaska – The governor has extended an existing order mandating social distancing and closure of non-essential businesses through April 21. The existing exemptions remain in effect. The state has also initiated a new requirement that businesses defined as essential by Alaska must submit a travel plan or protocol for maintaining critical infrastructure to [email protected].
Idaho – The “stay at home” order has been extended through April 30. Existing exemptions for essential businesses remain the same.
Indiana – The existing “stay at home” order has been extended through May 1.
Kansas – The existing “stay at home” order has been extended through May 3.
Mississippi – The existing “shelter in place” order has been extended through April 27.
Missouri – The existing “stay at home” order has been extended through May 3.
New York – The existing “stay at home” order has been extended through May 15. The governor has signed an executive order requiring employers to provide masks to essential employees who interact with the public.
Pennsylvania – The state has issued an order which requires essential businesses to provide masks for employees to wear during the normal course of daily operations. The order also includes more stringent social distancing requirements. The state's existing “stay at home” order has also been extended through May 8. The governor announced that construction will resume under strict guidelines starting May 8 with further guidance to come. Construction projects already deemed life-sustaining may continue while adhering to social distancing, personnel limits and other guidance as announced by the administration.
Wisconsin – The existing “safer at home” order has been extended through May 26.
Vermont – The governor has issued an executive order which includes initial actions to reopen the state’s economy. Effective April 20, outdoor construction may resume operations with a maximum of 2 total workers per location/job. Interior construction may also resume in unoccupied structures with no more than 2 workers. In addition, the order mandates a series of health requirements for employers regarding masks and social distancing. A summary memo can be found here.
