Universal Supply expands in Maryland

4/8/2019
Universal Supply, a division of US LBM, has opened a new location in Edgewood, Md.

The new location is Universal Supply’s 14th location, and the second in Maryland, after the company opened its first in Salisbury last fall. Universal operates locations in New Jersey, southeastern Pennsylvania and Delaware.

The new location features roofing, siding, replacement windows and specialty products.

“Our new location in Edgewood makes Universal Supply and our vast selection of products accessible to roofing and siding contractors in Northern Maryland and the greater Baltimore area,” said Universal Supply Vice President Bob Materazzi, Jr. “We have an experienced team ready to serve the local contractor at the highest level, with a portfolio of quality brands of roofing, siding, replacement windows and specialty materials to complete any remodeling or new construction project.”

Last week, US LBM announced that it had acquired Bailey Lumber & Supply, a distributor with six locations in Mississippi. US LBM Holdings also revealed last week that it had acquired BM Windows of Las Vegas.

Based in Buffalo Grove, Ill., US LBM operates more than 250 locations and had sales of $3.34 billion in 2018.
