The US LBM Foundation, a nonprofit organization founded by building materials distributor US LBM, has donated more than $50,000 to local food banks across the country.

The funds are being distributed to nearly 40 food banks in the service territories of US LBM’s operating divisions.

“Food banks have been strongly impacted by the pandemic, and we’re proud to provide some much-needed support,” said US LBM Foundation Chairman and US LBM President and CEO, L.T. Gibson. “Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, the US LBM Foundation has been able to respond quickly to assist our local communities as they grapple with this once in a century public health crisis.”

Since its inception in 2013, the US LBM Foundation has donated nearly $1 million to charitable organizations that honor veterans and their families, provide housing for those in need, support the development and health of children, aid victims of natural disasters and promote the prevention and treatment of diseases.

Based in Buffalo Grove, Ill., US LBM operates more than 250 locations across the country.
