Tractor Supply joins list of Thanksgiving closings
Tractor Supply Company is among a growing list of industry retailers who will keep their doors closed on Thanksgiving Day.
The Home Depot, Fleet Farm, Harbor Freight Tools, Lowe’s, Menards, Ikea, Costco, and The Container Store have all announced they will be closed on Thanksgiving.
Best Buy will begin its Black Friday sales at 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day, however. Target has also announced that it will open its stores at 6 p.m. and operate until Midnight on the holiday.
With more than 1725 stores nationwide, Tractor Supply Company issued a statement regarding Thanksgiving.
“Tractor Supply stores will continue its tradition of being closed on Thanksgiving so our team members can spend the holiday with loved ones or however they choose,” said John Ordus, senior vice president of store operations at Tractor Supply Company. “Our stores will be open on Friday, Nov. 23 for the holiday season, and our team members will be ready to provide an excellent shopping experience throughout the holiday season.”
Midwest home improvement titan Menards also issued a statement, saying, “A family-owned Midwestern company, Menards recognizes Thanksgiving as a special holiday to be celebrated with family and friends. Menards will once again continue our longstanding tradition of staying closed on Thanksgiving Day.”
