Super veteran to address STAFDA convention
David Goggins is a 21-year military veteran and ultra-marathoner.
David Goggins, a Navy SEAL, Army Ranger, Air Force Tactical Controller, and ultra-marathoner, will deliver the keynote presentation at the Specialty Tools & Fasteners Distributors Association’s (STAFDA) 43rd Annual Convention & Trade Show.
The show is scheduled for Nov. 10-12 at the Music City Convention Center in downtown Nashville, Tenn. Goggins will address STAFDA attendees at the general session on Nov. 11, which is also Veteran’s Day.
Goggins has a 21-year service career and has completed more than 60 ultra-marathons, triathlons, and ultra-triathlons, setting new course records and regularly placing in the top five.
One of his most remarkable achievements was the Mont Blanc 100-mile race. In this race, Goggins had to complete 100 miles in 24 hours and after 70 miles, his body shut down. He was almost on the brink of death, but he didn’t stop. He dubbed the toughest man in the world and Outside magazine calls him the “Fittest (Real) Man in America.”
Goggins transformed himself from a depressed, overweight young man with no future into a U.S. Armed Forces icon and one of the world’s top endurance athletes.
The convention and trade show are a members-only event. For more information visit Stafta.org.
