A study from The NPD Group describes consumers as more likely to cook outdoors during the pandemic’s stay-at-home period.

More recently, The NPD Group found the following consumer sentiment when it comes to grilling in the age of the virus:
- 75% of consumers who regularly cook outdoors said they would likely cook outdoors more frequently during the crisis.
- Among consumers who already cook outdoors two or more times per week, 81% say they’ll do it more frequently.
- 48% of consumers who have seen reduced family income are still likely took outdoors more frequently than they were before.
