SRS Distribution expands in 3 states
One of the fastest growing companies in the industry has announced additional expansion.
SRS Distribution Inc., the McKinney, Texas-based roofing and building products distributor has has opened three new greenfield locations.
Sites include Delray Beach, Fla.; Medina, Minn.; and Austin, Texas. Each location will carry a full line of residential and commercial roofing products and focus on servicing professional roofing contractors, remodelers, and local homebuilders, the company said.
The new Delray Beach location, operating under the Suncoast Roofers Supply banner, bridges the service gap between existing West Palm Beach and Ft. Lauderdale branches, according to SRS.
A new Contractors Supply location in Medina marks the company’s second location in the Minneapolis metropolitan area. The new location in Austin complements an existing location in Round Rock and brings the total number of Southern Shingles branches to 32.
“We are pleased to announce the opening of three new greenfield locations. The opening of in-fill locations in Austin and Medina allows us to add additional coverage and delivery capacity in both of these vibrant markets,” said Dan Tinker, president and CEO of SRS Distribution.
“The Delray Beach location is a natural extension of our south Florida operation and marks the fourth branch in the Miami metro area. Each new location represents a thoughtful and planned addition to our legacy platforms as we continue to gain scale in both new and existing markets,” Tinker added.
Last month SRS announced it had acquired Roofing Products & Building Supply, an independent distributor of residential and commercial roofing products, siding, and brick based in Jefferson, La., along with AAC Building Materials, a roofing and building products distributor based in Asheville, N.C.
New branches in Florida, North Carolina, and South Carolina were also part of last month’s expansion.
This year SRS launched a new subsidiary too – Heritage Landscape Supply Group, Inc. – created through two acquisitions of its own.
SRS operates 28 distinct local brands encompassing more than 260 locations across 44 states. SRS a portfolio company of Leonard Green & Partners, L.P. and Berkshire Partners LLC.
