Special mention for Parksite specialist

Robert DeFrancesca, Senior Certified DuPont Tyvek Commercial Building Specialist, was named Parksite Specialist of the Year. 

“The award, the second for Parksite,” said Craig Wheatley, director of market development, “represents our commitment to education within the building industry and our own distinctive employee-owned culture. Originally created by the DuPont organization, the award recognizes an exceptional individual among all Specialists in the North American market. We wanted to take that same foundation and build upon it in our own organization and recognize and honor individuals for their efforts, sales performance, and extraordinary relationships in our network and industry.”  

DeFrancesca, a Parksite associate based out of its Apex, N.C., location, stated upon receiving the award, "I came into the Tyvek Specialist role with little ‘Weatherization’ knowledge and in seven years, I’m humbled by the significant building science education I’ve obtained. Both Parksite and DuPont have provided me considerable opportunities to challenge myself and provide our industry a qualified building resource.” 

Parksite has a network of 60 specialists, and it intends to recognize high performance each year.

DeFrancesca was honored with the award in conjunction with the DuPont Tyvek Specialist Conference in Phoenix earlier this month.
