Readers Respond: Price sensitivity

The latest HBSDealer.com poll question examined the dollars-and-sense issue of price sensitivity. There’s no question that price matters – but does it matter more in today’s business environment?

The recent poll question asked specifically: “How would you describe your customers’ price-sensitivity in today’s market?” Here are the results after 160 votes:

  • 49% -- Holding steady: It’s always been important. Still is.

  • 39% -- Increasing: Price is everything, especially in the age of Amazon.

  • 12% -- Decreasing: More customers seem to appreciate value over price.
