Quikrete calls out concrete advancements

The World of Concrete attracted some 58,000 professionals interested in commercial concrete and masonry construction. Feeling right at home at the January event was Quikrete, which unveiled a handful of new and improved products.

Among the companies introductions were some advanced resurfacers and adhesives. Here’s how the company described its new developments:

• Advanced Forumual Quikrete Concrete Resurfacer

Designed to provide a permanent wear resistant surface that can withstand foot, vehicle and other heavy traffic, the new upgraded Quikrete Concrete Resurfacer formula delivers 3x greater bond strength, improved workability and extended working time, the company said. The new QUikrete Concrete Resurfacer is packaged in an exclusive Weather Barrier Bag that will protect it from inclement weather and other harmful elements for up to eight months. 

• Quikrete Advanced Polymer Sealant Adhesives

A solvent and isocyanate free line of high-performance, commercial-grade flexible repair and bonding materials, Quikrete Advanced Polymer Adhesives meet ASTM C920 standards. Designed to deliver or exceed the performance of traditional polyurethane or silicone sealants and adhesives, the single-component the Advanced Polymer Adhesives are environmentally-friendly alternatives.
