Research shows just who makes the decisions when it comes to window brands.
In new construction, 61% of the time, builders make the decision on what brand of windows are installed in homes. In repair and remodeling, 58% of the time, homeowners chose the windows brand with builders and contractors accounting for the remainder.
Spend per window remains lower than R&R in new construction. In the R&R segment, contractors recognize a higher spend per window because homeowners tend to spend more on upgrades since they view window replacement as a “once in a lifetime” event. More time spent on the sales process by the contractor can also contribute to higher homeowner spending based on Principia research.
