Poll Question: Whither the Association?
As reported last week, the American Hardware Manufacturers Association quietly dissolved in late 2017, bringing an end to an organization that was founded in 1901.
Even as the association steadily lost members in its final years, it continued to offer a list of services, such as marketing support, cost saving programs, education and networking opportunities. Could these types of service — and more — be revived in a new organization, or has the door closed on this type of association? That is the subject of this week’s HBSDealer poll question.
