PBS names new chief of multifamily division
Professional Builders Supply hired John Merritt as president of the Multifamily Division. Prior to joining PBS, he was the managing director of CBC Capital, where he led Capitol Broadcasting Company’s investment in PBS in 2017.
Merritt has served on the board of PBS since 2017 and worked closely with the PBS management team before joining the company in 2019. He is responsible for all multifamily activities across PBS’s markets.
Prior to joining CBC, Merritt was an owner and operator of Envirolink, Inc., where he helped grow Envirolink into the largest provider of water and sewer public-private partnerships in North Carolina. He began his career developing real estate in North Carolina and Virginia.
Merritt has been active in numerous community organizations including having served on the executive committee of the Triangle Urban Land Institute and on the Capstone Bank Advisory Board.
