Pantone announces its fall colors

2/20/2018

Pantone has already let the cat out of the bag when it comes to its 2015 Color of the Year -- Marsala. But now, it's shining the spotlight on nine more colors for the fall.

The Fall 2015 Fashion Color Report is partially a nod to unisex sensibilities and what the organization describes as "progressive moments in American history," most notably the 20s, 60s and 70s.

“Juxtaposition of color from opposite sides of the spectrum emphasizes poise and confidence on the runway,” said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute. “The Fall 2015 palette is rooted in multi-faceted, androgynous colors that can be worn to portray effortless sophistication across men’s and women’s fashion; it is the first time we are seeing a truly unisex color palette.”

Joining Marsala are shades like Desert Sage, Dried Herb, Cadmium Orange and Amethyst Orchard, blending earthy neutrals with bold accent colors.
