Nation’s Best names new CFO
Summer Loveland served as chief accounting officer for home builder Green Brick Partners.
Nation’s Best Holdings, the rising hardware, home improvement and LBM retailer, has appointed Summer Loveland as the company’s new CFO.
Loveland succeeds interim CFO Rick Allen, who assisted Nation’s Best with the company’s initial store acquisitions and financial reporting framework.
Prior to joining the Nation’s Best team, Loveland was chief accounting officer of Green Brick Partners, a publicly traded Dallas-based land developer and homebuilder. At Green Brick Partners, she led the accounting, treasury, technology, risk management and internal audit functions.
Loveland also served as CFO of the Dallas Police and Fire Pension System and worked for 15 years in the audit practice of KPMG LLP.
“We are thrilled to have Summer join our growing team,” said Chris Miller, president and CEO of Nation’s Best. “With over 25 years of financial accounting and operational experience in a range of leadership roles, Summer will provide Nation’s Best with financial and strategic guidance, as well as help us fine-tune scalable processes and procedures, which will be instrumental as we continue to execute on our strategic growth plans.”
“On behalf of the entire Nation’s Best team, I would also like to thank Rick for his numerous contributions to Nation’s Best. We will continue to benefit from his thoughtful counsel as we look to the future,” Miller added.
Nation’s Best is a member-owner of Do it Best Corp. and operates nine locations in two states. The Dallas, Texas-based company has more than 200 associates.
Nation’s Best recently acquired Bridgeport Building Centers with five locations serving the Dallas-Fort Worth market and surrounding areas.
