MRS completes new mega warehouse construction

1/23/2019
Manufacturers Reserve Supply (MRS) has completed the construction of a new 73,000-square-foot warehouse at its Irvington, N.J. headquarters.

The warehouse was built by RC Anderson who as a reputation as one of the 3-largest builders of Amazon facilities in the country. The project was completed on-scheduled in 5 months. MRS said it plans to begin moving inventory into the warehouse by the end of the month.

Prior to the new facility, MRS had about 90,000 square feet of warehousing. Today the company has a total of over 150,000 square feet located in 4 warehouses.

The newest facility not only provides the space for more efficient operations, but it also offers important reload opportunities to manufacturers and allows MRS to maintain its practice of keeping 100% of their materials inside, the company said.

“This is something we have had in our growth and support plans for a while and we are excited to finally execute them.” said Brian Boyd, president of MRS. “We see a great deal of potential in the Northeast market for our customers and suppliers and we want to make sure we have the necessary infrastructure and are well positioned to support that growth and their needs.”

Based in Irvington, N.J., MRS is a wholesale building materials distributor selling to lumber yards, specialty dealers and home centers.
