2/20/2018

Jackson, Mississippi-based The Molpus Woodlands Group, a timberland investment management organization, has purchased approximately 73,000 acres of timberland in Alabama for one of its clients.

The purchase, which was made in installments beginning last October, spans north, east and west of Birmingham.

“We are pleased to complete the closing process and we look forward to managing these properties as a long-term, timber investment for our clients,” said Ken Sewell, COO of Molpus Timberlands Management.

The timberlands span 13 counties and include loblolly pine plantations spanning all age classes. They will be managed via Molpus' Hoover, Alabama office.

Molpus currently manages 1,550,000 acres of timberland worth over $1.5 billion.
