McCormack Building Supply will build again following a fire that destroyed the business on Oct. 11.

According to a report by CentralMaine.com, the Farnham family plans to reopen the yard and pass it on to the next generation.

Last week’s fire in Winslow, Maine destroyed the dealer’s primary retail building in addition to causing other structural damage at the site.

Emergency and fire crews from roughly 8 municipalities responded to the fire.

No injuries were reported with the cause of unknown and under investigation.

On the company’s Facebook page, McCormack Lumber said, “What a day! As many of you know we had a devastating fire yesterday. We are happy to let you know all of our employees got out safely. We are extremely proud of how they reacted, took control and handled themselves throughout a stressful day. This setback will only make us more united. The employees and ownership will work diligently and rebuild our company. We will be back before you know it.”
