L&W acquires DeFoor Acoustical
L&W Supply Corporation, the distributor of wallboard, steel studs, ceiling systems and related building products, has acquired of DeFoor Acoustical Inc.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed but the move includes the acquisition of DeFoor Drywall and Acoustical Supply.
Founded in 1966 as a commercial drywall and acoustical ceilings contractor, DeFoor transitioned to being a distributor in the 1980s while serving professional contractors and builders in Macon and Atlanta, Ga. Like L&W, the company provides commercial acoustical ceiling systems, insulation, metals studs and drywall products.

With this strategic acquisition, L&W Supply operates more than 158 branches across 35 states. Based in Chicago, L&W is a subsidiary of ABC Supply with more 700 locations nationwide.
Earlier this month, L&W completed its acquisition of NexGen Building Supply. Last April, the distributor also acquired Ace Supply in Montgomery, Ala.
