Installed Building Products (IBP) continued on its path of growth through acquisitions with the announcement that it has acquired Carolina Glass & Mirror along with Hamilton Benchmark.

Located in Garner, N.C., Carolina Glass installs commercial and residential glass applications in the the greater Raleigh market. Founded in 1993, Carolina Glass has annual revenue of approximately $6.2 million.

Hamilton Benchmark installs fire-stopping solutions to the large commercial construction market with one location near Milwaukee, Wis. Founded in 1999, Hamilton Benchmark has annual revenues of approximately $1.3 million

“We are excited to expand our presence in North Carolina, which represents one of the nation’s strongest real estate markets,” said Jeff Edwards, chairman and CEO of Installed Building Products.

Edwards said the addition of Carolina Glass allows IBP offers insulation, shower enclosures and mirrors, garage doors, gutters, blinds, and roofing installation services to commercial and residential customers throughout the greater Raleigh market.

In 2018, IBP has closed 12 acquisitions representing about $83 million of acquired revenues, the company said. Based in Columbus, Ohio, IBP is one of the nation's largest insulation installers for the residential new construction market and is also an installer of complementary building products, including waterproofing, fire-stopping and fireproofing, shower doors, closet shelving and mirrors, garage doors, gutters, blinds, and roofing, throughout the United States.

“Acquisitions remain a key component of our growth plan and we continue to have a robust pipeline of acquisition opportunities across multiple geographies, products and end markets,” Edwards noted.

Last month, IBP acquired Installed Advanced Fiber Technology (AFT) – a manufacturer of cellulose, asphalt, and industrial fibers. The company has annual revenues of approximately $18 million and sells its products to distributors and installers predominately in the Midwest and Northeastern U.S.
