CertainTeed integrates solar with luxury housing

Stoneledge is featuring CertainTeed’s Apollo II solar roofing system as an optional upgrade.
CertainTeed has formed a new partnership with South Carolina-based builder, Stoneledge Properties.

Stoneledge is featuring CertainTeed’s Apollo II solar roofing system as an optional upgrade in the builder’s first luxury, solar development: Le Jardin. The 55-acre, 64-home site is an exclusive, gated community in Greenville, S.C.

“CertainTeed Solar is proud to team up with Stoneledge on this exciting project that focuses on sustainable living in a luxury setting,” said Mark Stancroff, director of CertainTeed Solar. “Stoneledge has a rich history in the industry and supports our mission of providing efficient and aesthetically-pleasing solutions for homeowners.”

Apollo II systems offer roof-integrated energy production while fitting in seamlessly with Le Jardin. The development focuses on architectural integrity and consistency, with Apollo II visually blends into roofs, providing a clean look that a standard rack-mounted system cannot match.

“Since Le Jardin has an incredible emphasis on design and green building, we felt it was only fitting to offer our homeowners the best in solar – the natural choice was Apollo II,” said Chris Bailey, builder and founder of Stoneledge Properties. “CertainTeed has been a trusted partner for some time and we hope to continue our track record of creating sustainable and beautiful homes together.”

Based in Malvern, Pa., CertainTeed manufactures interior and exterior building products including roofing, siding, fence, decking, railing, trim, insulation, drywall and ceilings.
