Boise Cascade getting a new chairman and director

2/20/2018

In addition to having Tom Corrick step in as its new CEO, Boise Cascade is also having current (but soon-to-be-retired) CEO Tom Carlile take Duane McDougall's place as chairman of the board.

McDougall is resigning effective March 7, a day after Carlile's planned retirement from his post as CEO. He will, however, maintain his position as a director of the board.

"Duane has done a remarkable job of helping us become a public company and enabling us to take advantage of the housing recovery currently underway," said Carlile. "I am pleased that we will continue to benefit from his knowledge of our industry and our company since he will remain a director on our board."

Additionally, Steven Cooper has been elected to the board of directors, serving on the Audit Committee. Cooper is president and CEO of TrueBlue, Inc., a Tacoma, Washington-based staffing company.

The company also announced that Matthew Norton, a director of Madison Dearborn Partners, will resign from the board effective Feb. 27. MDP completed a leveraged buyout of Boise Cascade's assets in 2004, but it exited its investment last year.
