Bliffert delivers with a purpose

Bliffert Lumber & Hardware has put a pink delivery truck on the road in 2020, and the color is much more than a fashion statement.

The truck is sporting a pink paint job to support Susan G. Komen Wisconsin, a local nonprofit dedicated to bringing an end to breast cancer. The Wisconsin-based dealer with seven locations will donate 20 cents for every mile driven by the truck in 2020.

“Breast cancer affects us all, and the pink truck is a reminder that we need to fight breast cancer every day,” said Eli Bliffert, VP of Bliffert Lumber & Hardware. “We’re excited to contribute to the efforts of Komen Wisconsin while helping spread awareness for the great work that they’re doing in the community.”

The rear of the cabin carries the message: "We drive to fight breast cancer."

Bliffert Lumber and Hardware has been serving contractors and homeowners in southeastern Wisconsin since 1904. The company has been in the Bliffert family for five generations.

"We are so excited about Bliffert's wonderful support of Komen Wisconsin,” said Nikki Panico, Executive Director, Komen Wisconsin. “Every dollar raised helps those in need by directly funding cutting-edge research as well as providing financial support for breast health services and support services for those with breast cancer through the Komen Wisconsin Breast Cancer Assistance Fund.”

Komen Wisconsin fights breast cancer on all fronts, focusing efforts on four mission-based pillars: research, care, community and action. Every donation to Komen Wisconsin funds life-changing research, empowers people with fact-based information, provides screening and treatment support to local neighbors in need, and helps advocate for compassionate public policy and patient rights. This 360-degree approach is needed to achieve the ultimate goal of a world without breast cancer.
