An opening for fiberglass doors

12/17/2019
Fiberglass doors are being manufactured with newer, modern designs. These new designs are contributing to fiberglass growing faster than wood and steel materials, growing at 4.8% by volume compared to wood, which is growing at 4.2% and steel at 3.0%.

Growth in fiberglass can also be attributed to its performance as well as its cost. A typical standard size fiberglass door will cost 20-30% less than its wood counterpart. Further, the wood door segment is heavily reliant on customization which make most wood doors substantially more expensive than fiberglass.
