ABC Supply has veterans covered

11/12/2019
In conjunction with saluting America’s military and the observance of Veterans Day, ABC Supply said it has hired more than 1,000 American military personnel since 2017.

According to ABC, the move has created a culture where those who served can work shoulder to shoulder with others who had similar experiences.

To further its commitment to employing veterans, the Beloit, Wis.-based company also said that it has taken the Military.com hiring pledge and is working with RecruitMilitary to bring this pledge to life by attending military job fairs across the country to connect with career seekers.

“We know the skills mastered in the military are unequaled, and we’re committed to helping veterans find their fit with our family,” the roofing and building products distributor said.

Matt Cooper, vice president of ABC Supply’s West Region and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, said veterans are highly desirable employees at the company.

“Veterans are making a huge impact at ABC Supply. They are wanted at ABC Supply because of what they bring to the table and the leadership skills they learned in the military,” Cooper said.

ABC Supply has created a video sharing the experience of veterans within the company.

The distributor operates more than 790 locations nationwide.
