McCoy’s promotes Gabriel to VP of information services

McCoy’s Building Supply announced that Ray Gabriel has been promoted to vice president of information services. 

Gabriel has been with McCoy’s for nearly 20 years and began his career as an assistant store manager before moving to headquarters and joining the IS Department. 

“Throughout his tenure, Ray has shown care and concern for our customers and team members. He also has helped implement many projects that have supported the growth of the company,” said Joanne Corum, senior vice president and chief information officer at McCoy’s. “I know Ray will continue to have a huge impact on our future.”

At McCoy’s, Gabriel worked in several roles with a steadily increasing level of leadership related to software upgrades, application enhancements, and hardware changes. Gabriel served as director of information services before this promotion.

“I’m excited about taking a larger role in corporate-level and strategic planning projects,” Gabriel said. “I look forward to engaging even more with our stores and discovering opportunities to bring them continued success.”

“I’m also excited about working with our internal business units and partners to help make our operational activities and processes more efficient while still providing the highest level of support,” Gabriel added. 

Based in San Marcos, Texas, McCoy’s employs 2,900 associates and operates 89 stores, 3 distribution facilities, and 2 millwork facilities in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi, and New Mexico.
