Makita’s new cordless commercial lawn mower

7/14/2020

Makita U.S.A., Inc., has launched the new 18V X2 (36V) LXT Brushless Cordless 21” Self-Propelled Commercial Lawn Mower (XML09).

The mower is powered by two 18V LXT Batteries and a Makita-built brushless motor. Users have the option to insert two additional LXT Batteries for extended run time.

When the first two batteries need a charge, users can quickly turn the battery-selector switch to the second pair of batteries and keep working.

When using four 18V LXT 5.0Ah batteries, the mower will cut non-stop for up to two miles.

A commercial-grade aluminum deck resists corrosion and is durable for demanding applications, without extra weight. The self-propel function makes mowing effortless with variable speeds from 1.5 MPH to 3 MPH.

The lawn mower offers mulching, bagging, and rear-discharge options for debris. Other features include IPX4 weather-resistant construction and a single lever cutting height adjustment of optional cutting heights between 1-1/4” – 4”.

Quiet Mode reduces noise by providing constant speed control. Quiet Mode sets RPMs to a certain speed, so there are no sudden increases in speed.

With a constant speed, the noise from The Makita 18V X2 LXT remains at a constant level. This is a benefit for cutting grass in a residential area, on a school campus, or other settings that are resistant to excessive noise, Makita said.
