Makita U.S.A. lights up work sites

The toolmaker has introduced two new battery-powered tower lights.

Makita U.S.A., Inc., has launched two tower lights, the 18V LXT Tower Work Light (DML813) and 18V LXT Tower Work/Multi-Directional Light (DML814). 

Both tall, towering lights extend to an overall height of 7-1/4-feet. They feature dust and water-resistant construction (IP55-rated when using battery) for improved operation in harsh job site conditions. 

The DML813 features an adjustable head that rotates 220-degrees vertically and pivots 230- degrees horizontally.

The DML814 features three adjustable heads that rotate 180-degrees vertically. Each head has L.E.D. lights that effectively illuminate s work area without the high heat of halogens.

The work lights deliver 3,000 / 1,700 / 900 lumens on High / Medium / Low settings respectively. The tower lights provide up to 10 hours of continuous illumination with one 18V LXT 5.0Ah Battery on low and up to 2 hours on high (battery and charger not included), Makita U.S.A. said. 

The lights easily fold and have a convenient shoulder strap and handles for easy transportation. 18V LXT System The LXT System, the world’s largest cordless tool system powered by 18V lithium-ion slide-style batteries, takes a user from power tools to outdoor power equipment to get the job done. 

Makita 18V LXT batteries have the fastest charge times in their categories, so they spend more time working and less time sitting on the charger.
