L&W Supply expanding in Cleveland
L&W Supply is expanding in the Cleveland, Ohio market with the opening of a new branch in Bedford Heights.
The new location will offer a wide range of interior building materials such as drywall, acoustical ceilings and metal framing products, along with commonly used tools and supplies, the Chicago-based building products distributor said.
“The Bedford Heights greenfield branch opens up exciting new possibilities for us to provide outstanding service for the entire Cleveland area,” says John McLaughlin, Northeast Region vice president. “It helps reaffirm our commitment to customers throughout Ohio along with the rest of the country by making it even easier to access our services and support.”
With the new Bedford Heights location, L&W Supply said it will now have six branches in Ohio, servicing Columbus, Cincinnati, Dayton, Cleveland, and Toledo.
A grand opening celebration, complete with food and prizes, is scheduled for Dec. 16.
L&W Supply operates about 200 branch locations in 38 states. The company is a subsidiary of ABC Supply Co. with more than 800 branches nationwide.
In July, L&W Supply finalized its purchase of the assets of the Eastern U.S. Gypsum Distribution Operations of Builders FirstSource.
The move provided L&W with 21 facilities located throughout the Northeast and Southeast, which generated sales of approximately $160 million for Builders FirstSource in 2020.
Additional recent expansion moves have included the acquisition of G. Proulx Building Materials in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
