L&W Supply acquires Old Fort Building Supply
L&W Supply reported that it has acquired Old Fort Building Supply based in South Bend, Indiana.
Founded in 1983, Old Fort Building Supply is a distributor serving residential, commercial, and multifamily construction in the northern Indiana and southwest Michigan markets.
“We look forward to welcoming the Old Fort associates and customers to the L&W Supply family,” Dan Piché, president of L&W Supply. “This location increases our presence in a key market of Indiana, bringing our branch count to nine in the state.”
Old Fort Building Supply’s primary offerings include landscaping brick and stone, drywall, residential brick, acoustical ceilings, masonry tools and accessories, along with other building materials.
The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Earlier this month, L&W Supply’s parent company — ABC Supply —- completed the acquisition of Feldman Lumber, Richardson Gypsum, Rosen Materials, Wallboard Supply Company, and Coastal Roofing Supply from US LBM.
Following the deal, Feldman Lumber, Richardson Gypsum, Rosen Materials, and Wallboard Supply Company are operating under L&W Supply.
Based in Chicago, L&W Supply operates more than 250 branches in 40 states. The company is one of the nation’s largest distributors of wallboard, suspended ceiling systems, steel studs, joint treatment, insulation, fasteners, and related building products.
ABC Supply, with headquarters in Beloit, Wisconsin, operates over 900 locations in the United States and Canada.
