Bridgeville, Pa. – Here in Western Pennsylvania at an 84 Lumber location not far from the company’s headquarters, HBSDealer celebrated the launch of its end-of-year double issue. The issue included an 11-page special report on 84 Lumber, and its journey through an eventful 2017. The event also included the presentation of a donation to the 84 Lumber Building Hope charity.

Kodiak Building Partners expands in Arizona
Denver-based Kodiak Building Supply announced the acquisition of substantially all the operating assets of Arizona Wholesale Supply Company, with three locations in Arizona. The new acquisition will be paired with Kodiak’s Factory Builder Stores, based in Houston.
“Arizona Wholesale Supply has been a strong regional company that has exciting potential into future years, particularly as it is paired with our Factory Builder Stores (FBS) operations that are being run by President Doug Rapier,” said Paul Hylbert, Kodiak chairman. “Doug’s experience in the sale of his own company to Kodiak in 2014 should greatly assist the team at AWS as they move forward.”
Arizona Wholesale Supply Company is described as a high-service regional appliance and flooring dealer that specializes in the support of residential contractors and their customers. It operates from three locations in Arizona: Phoenix, Scottsdale and Tucson.

Epicor recognizes customer excellence
Orlando, Fla. — At its 2017 LBM Conference, Epicor announced Customer Excellence Awards winners, recognizing businesses that have successfully transformed operations by deploying Epicor BisTrack and Epicor LumberTrack solutions and services.
Millersburg, Ohio-based Yoder Lumber was given the Epicor LumberTrack in the “Technology Innovator” category. The hardwood products manufacturer was selected for its ability to simplifying business processes by leveraging technology and demonstrating the value of the investment in the form of efficiently managing real-time sales processing, inventory management, accounting, and more with an all-in-one system featuring a seamless interface, Epicor said.

The Wichita, Kan.-based dealer Implementation of the software was effectively managed due to motivated project teams, effective training, and production readiness.
In a video presentation preceding the award, Star Lumber I.T. Director Dave Gregory said, “every day we save hundreds of hours,” through the use of the BisTrack system.
