A location upgrade for TW Perry

2/20/2018

Gaithersburg, Maryland-based TW Perry will move from their historic site on Connecticut Avenue to a new home at 9015 Brookville Road in Silver Spring, Maryland.

The new Brookville Road location will allow TW Perry to expand their business from its proximity to highly populated areas in Maryland; Silver Spring, Bethesda and Chevy Chase. It features a Design Center where customers can select a wide variety of windows, doors and architectural features to add style and function to their homes.

“We look forward to serving all of our Chevy Chase customers at our new shop on Brookville Road,” said Gary Bowman, president and CEO of TW Perry. “The decision to leave Connecticut Avenue was made for several reasons. First and foremost, the new facility provides a better shopping experience and has more capacity to service our customers.”

TW Perry operates in Annapolis, Baltimore, Leesburg, Springfield, Gaithersburg, and – as of Feb. 29 – the new location in Silver Spring.

The new location will also have a larger, modern hardware store and lumber yard to support the needs of the residential builder and remodeler.

In the announcement of the new store, TW Perry said it believes in the concept that “Time is Money”; and the goal is to get customers their building materials as quickly as possible. The facility is designed for that purpose, it will be easier to get in and out of the new store and yard where products are stocked strategically to make it faster for customers to pick up materials. Traffic patterns to the site are far easier for customers to navigate with dedicated entry and exit lanes onto Brookville Road, a big improvement compared to TW Perry’s Connecticut Avenue traffic pattern, the company said.

The new location was purchased several years ago, as the location in Chevy Chase was earmarked for redevelopment by the Chevy Chase Land Company to complement the Metro’s Purple Line light rail system.
