New York – HBSDealer selected Healdsburg, California-based Healdsburg Lumber Company as the 2016 Independent Pro Dealer of the Year.

The annual award, selected by editors of HBSDealer with the input of key suppliers and industry stakeholders, is designed to recognize a high-performance independent lumberyard with a commitment to best practices and the best values of the lumber and building material industry.

“On behalf of the entire staff at Healdsburg Lumber Company, I’d like to pass on our humble appreciation for being selected the 2016 Independent Pro Dealer of the Year,” said Eric Ziedrich, president of the Sonoma County LBM dealer.

Along with service to the customer, Healdsburg puts a strong emphasis on service to the community. Ziedrich himself is a two-time former mayor of Healdsburg and is currently serving his third term as a city council member. He is also currently serving as the president of the North Coast Builders Exchange, which covers Sonoma, Mendocino, Lake and Napa counties in Northern California.

The company’s operations include Gualala (California) Building Supply and Hudson Street Design of Healdsburg, offering expertise all around the house.

“I formally joined this industry over 33 years ago, though it has been part of my gene pool for my entire life,” he said. “A significant number of our staff have been part of the Healdsburg Lumber family for a quarter-century and longer.  To be selected as the recipient of this award, representing an industry that so many of us have dedicated our lives to, makes it all the more precious.”

Healdsburg Lumber will accept the award at the 2016 Pro Dealer Industry Summit, slated for Charleston, South Carolina, Oct. 25-26. The summit is hosted jointly by the National Lumber and Building Material Dealers Association and HBSDealer.
