Cedar Creek general manager retires

2/20/2018

Chris Lynch, General Manager of Cedar Creek Denver, will retire Dec 12.

Lynch began his lumber and building materials career in 1972 as a lumber-puller and driver for the J.W. Metz Lumber Company. He quickly moved up the ranks to Insides Sales and Purchasing and eventually to Assistant Manager of Metz’ Lakewood store. In the mid-70’s, Lynch moved to the wholesale lumber ranks joining Click and Geddes Lumber Company, first as a Commodity Trader, and later in Specialty Sales and Procurement. He eventually became Vice President of Operations in 1978.

In 1982, Lynch joined Reid and Wright, Inc. where he worked for 32 years in a variety of Sales, Operations and Management positions that culminated in his being appointed to Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in 2001.

When Reid and Wright, Inc. was acquired by Cedar Creek, LLC in March of 2014, Lynch was appointed General Manager of the combined operations, and oversaw the merging of the two entities and setting the Denver Division on its current pathway to success.

Cedar Creek is a wholesale building material distribution company with twenty-four locations servicing thirty-two states.  In May of 2010, Cedar Creek was recapitalized by Boston-based Charlesbank Capital Partners.
