Oklahoma City, Oklahoma-based distributor Cedar Creek, said it completed its acquisition of Midwestern LBM Distributor Roberts & Dybdahl.
Roberts & Dybdahl, headquartered in Des Moines, Iowa, covers eleven Midwestern states from Ohio west to Kansas, Nebraska and the Dakotas. Cedar Creek has acquired locations in Des Moines; Omaha, Nebraska; Milan, Illinois; St. Louis, Missourri; Tipton, Indiana; Sun Prairie, Wisconsin; and Kansas City, Kansas.
According to Cedar Creek CEO Bill Adams: “This is a major addition for us as it brings excellent people, great customers, and a great mix of products to the Cedar Creek organization.”
D. Wayne Trousdale, Cedar Creek’s COO, added, “This enables us to enter a number of key Midwest markets simultaneously as part of Cedar Creek’s overall expansion strategy.”
Cedar Creek is a leading wholesale building material distribution company, now with twenty-two locations covering thirty states. In May of 2010, Cedar Creek was recapitalized by Boston-based Charlesbank Capital Partners, with the goal of providing flexible capital for the company to grow beyond its current trade areas.
