By HBSDealer Staff - 02/04/2021

Kodiak Building Partners announced that Allen Prough has been named as the new president of Factory Builder Stores (FBS).

Allen joined FBS in January 2018 and served as its vice president of sales and marketing. He oversaw all financial aspects of FBS, maintaining awareness of both external and internal opportunities for expansion, customers, markets, new industry developments, and standards.

FBS has served Texas builders, remodelers, designers, architects, contractors, and design-savvy homeowners with premium appliances and custom cabinets since 1988.  FBS boasts 7 locations and employs 160 experienced professionals who assist their clients throughout all phases of the design, purchase, and installation.

Prior to FBS, Prough was a national sales manager for the Whirlpool Corporation. There he provided direction and programming to over 60 market managers across the U.S. and managed Whirlpool’s largest single and multifamily builders, encompassing over $107 Million in revenue and 222,000 appliances delivered annually.

FBS was acquired from Doug Rapier in 2014, and Rapier had served as its president.  He is now the president of the Kodiak Interiors Group. This platform includes Factory Builder Stores, Arizona Wholesale Supply, and Specialty Appliance.

In this capacity, Rapier is responsible for identifying and developing business opportunities, driving sales and marketing strategies, leading the development of each company’s short and long-term strategies, maintaining awareness of the competitive market landscape and industry developments, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of each company.

“Factory Builder Stores has a 33-year history of being the best choice of builders for appliances and cabinets in Texas,” Prough said. “My goal is to continue the tradition of excellence that Doug Rapier has built. I am excited about the future and the team we have in place.”

Rapier said, “I could not be more excited about the future of FBS. Allen Prough is the perfect candidate to lead the FBS team into the future.”
