1/8/2021

Jaeger Lumber announced that it has acquired West Essex Building Supply.

Located in Verona, N.J., West Essex will allow Jaeger Lumber’s entry into additional markets that are further north and east of their Union and Madison, N.J. locations.

Similar to Jaeger Lumber, West Essex was founded in 1937 and caters to the same customer base of high-end builders and remodelers, Jaeger Lumber said in a statement on Facebook announcing the acquisition.

“Acquiring this yard would not have been possible without the past efforts and excellence of every Jaeger Lumber employee over the years,” said Jaeger Lumber President Bryan Jaeger “We always strive to be a better place to work and do business with.  We look forward to welcoming their employees to our Jaeger Lumber family as well as servicing the entire community in this new market area.”

Jaeger Lumber said that Dec. 30 was the official date of the acquisition.

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
